We Are Hiring!

The Washington Poison Center (WAPC) is currently accepting applications for a Specialist in Poison Information Trainee. The WAPC is an accredited 501c3 nonprofit poison center serving the State of Washington. The Washington Poison Center is progressive in its public health outreach and involvement with the state regarding current and emerging health trends. Do you want to be a part of a dynamic, progressive, and ambitious poison center? Do you want to have a positive impact on patient care and the community? We offer on the job training for this highly valuable skill, in the comfort of a casual office environment.

With its main center located in Seattle, the Poison Center is nestled between Lake Washington to the East and Puget Sound to the West, with mountains on both sides. We are located in Northgate across from the Light Rail Station.

We have full-time positions available. Applicant must be a licensed RN, Pharmacist, or Physician in the State of Washington with a desire to excel in a non-traditional role and a willingness to train. This position currently rotates to nights once every 12-14 weeks. Once you are fully trained, we offer a hybrid work model with onsite and remote privileges to help reduce your commute time.

We encourage professional development for our staff including providing opportunities to be involved in educational, outreach, research, and legislative activities beyond their core responsibilities. In addition, we support a Career Improvement Program that allows our staff to acquire and/or enhance their knowledge and skills in a particular area.

We offer an attractive benefits package, including paid lunch breaks, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, EAP, long-term disability, 10 paid holidays per year, sick leave, vacation, 401(k), flexible spending accounts for medical and childcare, and free parking.
