The Washington Poison Center team is comprised of expert-level nurses, pharmacists, poison information providers, board-certified physician medical toxicologists, and administrative staff.
We are very proud that all of our eligible staff have earned the distinction of Certified Specialist in Poison Information (CSPI), from the The American Association of Poison Control Centers (AAPCC). In order to become certified as a Specialist in Poison Information, candidates must pass a rigorous exam that evaluates competent skill, knowledge, education and experience to provide poison information to the public, healthcare providers and public health agencies.
