Symptoms: May cause nausea, vomiting, or an upset stomach.

What to do: Give the patient a small snack and fluids to settle the stomach and dilute ingestion. Monitor over the next 2-3 hours for any symptoms. Call the poison center (1-800-222-1222) if any symptoms develop or you have questions.

Immediately contact the poison center if patient develops persistent coughing after the ingestion.

Symptoms: There is risk for redness, irritation, and ocular injury

What to do Rinse the eye for 5 minutes with water, then rest the eye for 1 hour without additional rinsing, medicated eyedrops, or bright lights. Call the poison center for evaluation if any symptoms develop during or after the 1hr rest period.
