Symptoms: Initial symptoms are nausea, vomiting, and upset stomach. If a toxic amount is ingested, severe illness, blindness, and death can occur.

What to do: Call poison center immediately (1-800-222-1222) to determine if hospital evaluation is needed.

Symptoms: Risk for redness, irritation, and ocular injury

What to do: Rinse eye for 15 minutes with water, then rest eye for 1 hour without any additional rinsing or medicated eyedrops. Call poison center after rest period for additional recommendations
