How toxic is it?

Ingestion of a single magnet alone is usually well tolerated. Ingestion of two magnet or a magnet plus another metal object can be life-threatening.

What to do

If swallowed

Symptoms

If 1 magnet ingested would not expect symptoms. If 2 magnets or a magnet and another piece of metal are ingested there is a risk for intestinal injury depending on the position of each

What to do

If 1 magnet ingested increase fiber in diet to help pass the product. If 2 magnets ingested or 1 magnet and a piece of metal ingested patient should be evaluated in a hospital for imaging and possible removal
