Keeping kids safe from marijuana edibles
The Not For Kids Symbol
On February 14, 2017, Washington Poison Center, in partnership with the Washington Liquor and Cannabis Board, launched the Not For Kids warning symbol for identifying marijuana edible product. Washington Poison Center developed the warning symbol as a deterrent for children who may access edible marijuana products purchased by adults in their home.
The goals of the Not For Kids symbol are:
Remind adults that the product with this symbol contains marijuana.
Equip parents and caregivers to have a conversation with their loved ones ages one to 21.
Provide a free, confidential, 24/7/365, emergency helpline for all Washingtonians.
