Volunteer Board Members

Are you interested in helping our community?  The Washington Poison Center a 501c3 organization is seeking a diverse group of professionals to join our volunteer Board of Directors.  We are seeking applications from persons who want to make a difference, and help bring new ideas and energy to our Board. We welcome all Board candidate applications, with all levels of experience.  We are looking for expertise in areas of finance, health insurance, early childhood education, fundraising, event planning and public relations.  We are also interested in recruiting someone who has used our services and understands the impact that we have on our community.

Our board currently meets six times a year on the first Tuesday of every odd numbered month from 11:30 – 1:00.  Board Members are expected to:

Attend four of the six general Board meetings in person or via teleconference with two preferably in person.

• Actively participate on at least one committee that meets every even numbered month in person or via teleconference.
• Contribute to fundraising efforts and give what is for each member, a significant donation.
